I'm away.

I am leaving in a few hours for the weekend. I am really excited to go but a little concerned that Calvin will not make it through the weekend without raging. I told the boys I was going to go away this morning and be gone until tomorrow. We talked about behaviour and expectations and what would happen with me if they did not listen to Dad ( extra chores with me plus whatever they get from Dad). They heard me but then Calvin spent the next 3 hours coming dangerously close to the edge.

I struggle with when to provide information about stressful things and they only found out a few hours before bed but he still managed to show me how pissed he is. P can handle them, he is great Dad but he is also tired from a long week and containg a raging alone Calvin is exhausting.

I need the break and I am so leaving at 9:00 but payback can be a nightmare and  I don't really want to deal with it when I get back.

PS - you have till Sunday night to enter the contest and clicking that little follower button on the left side there will get you 2 entries.

This is my opinion only, so take it for what it's worth. I wait until very close to an event to tell Genea about it because the anticipation of a change in her routine can be as bad as the actual change.
Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy the break, count your way through the fallout, and then go play SoundBingo and look for the pics of the kids. OK sure, no itouch or iphone -- but you can work around that. And somewhat seriously, let me know what you think of the description from an educator & mom's point of view http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/soundbingo/id366675690?mt=8#

So says the big sister... Miss ya
