well blow me down

Calvin just walked into the office where I am patiently waiting for the laundry fairy to appear and match all the socks and fold the 3 baskets of laundry on the floor and asked me if he could take a book downstairs with him. He actually asked me if he could do something rather than just doing it on his own. I said of course because he really did not need to ask... but people, he asked me! He asked permission for something, that is huge.

Then I went downstairs and discovered Fudge had pulled a number of gerber daisies off the stems and then tried to reattach them... I'll take one one behaving kid at time but 2 would be amazing.

Now Calvin is screaming at Fudge, must go, maybe the laundry fairy will arrive in my absence.

I LOVE that he asked you permission for something!!! What a wonderful moment. We have to cherish and celebrate those isolated incidents - many times it is what carries us forward through all the other crap :-)

When Genea is starting a fit-streak, she will start demanding instead of asking. Like, "I'm thirsty". Well..... thanks for sharing..... if you ask that might help....

At least you have one working on it right now! And if the other pops some flower heads off, it could be worse right? LOL!

Ok, all being nice to me at this point is going to do is MAKE ME CRY. LOL. No, seriously, thank you. Amazing how just a comment can make you feel better.

I'm really sorry about your daisies, though. Isn't it precious how he tried to reattach them? LOL.

Sounds like progress on the home front!!

Don't hold your breath waiting on that laundry fairy. She never comes. :/

Would be glad for you to read my private blog but I do need your email address so I can invite you. Thanks for your interest.

I'd say asking permission to do things is an accomplishment for any kid! :) Good luck on the laundry fairy - if she shows up, send her my way!

Baby steps! Asking permission is huge - As for the flowers: so did he use tape or staples or just try and stick em back together??? Too cute.
