Yes that would be the curse where you talk about how great your kids are doing and then everything goes to hell... I am going to risk it because oh my they did so well.
It was not a stressful thing but just a change in routine, I was leary after last week but I did not need to be as they handled it so well.
I taught today which means I am that much closer to paying for Orlando but also that my kids get tired, grouchy Mama at the end of the day. We needed to to go to Costco and since P works late on Wednesday I decided I would wait for them to get off the bus and we would have dinner there. Yes the dinner of tired parents everywhere, hot dogs and poutine at Costco.
Here's the good part, my boys held it together the whole time and they were appropriate and then we came home and did homework. And guess what there was no rage and no anger, just silly little boys making little boy jokes about bodily functions and Fudge being all affectionate ( which is his new thing and is a great sign). As I type they are in bed, they are quiet and P just came home and kissed there fuzzy heads and they excitedly told him about their evening and Calvin asked him to check his french homework (which is the first time ever) and now they are quiet again.
And... Calvin called me Mommy today, he has had a lot of Mom's and he has called me Mom for a long time but today is the first time he called my Mommy and I must admit my heart soared. I can not believe how far my "unadopatable" son has come in the last 2.5 years.

I am so happy your family has come so far! You should be one proud Momma :)
So glad that things are going well. But DUDE! Don't you know that the number one rule of fight club is that you don't talk about fight club :-) Keeping my fingers crossed that you didn't curse yourself! Here's to hoping all the wonderfulness continues!
yeah!!!
Awesome.
As for the blog curse, Well, since we ARE going to have up and down days for many years to come we might as well celebrate the victories and the good days!!!
And.... you know, only a fellow Canadian would know what poutine is, right?
Blessings,
Angela
YAY! and screw the possibility of curses - its funny how we don't worry that talking about the bad days will bring more bad stuff or *gasp* good stuff, but we stop ourselves from sharing our joy over some really amazing progress. So happy for you all!
and mmmmmm Poutine! :-)
Yay! I believe in the blog curse. But I also believe when that bad day comes (and you know, deep down, that it will no matter what you do) at least now you can go back and reread and remember today!
Whispering...... Yay! Yay! Yay!
Silently applauding from Winnipeg.
You might want to clue the Americans in on poutine. As a transplanted American, I couldn't believe it when I first encountered poutine -- so delicious!
This makes me so happy! Great day.
Wonderful!!!!
... and I do know what poutine is, but have never tried it ... I'm no big on gooey food so poutine just doesn't look appealing to me:-)
