Giveaway

There are as usuall to many things to say and not enough to say them so instead I am going to give things away because that seems easier than trying to type a post. This is going to be dead easy... you totally can play and all you have to do is leave a comment.

What am I giving away, a copy of Wounded Children, Healing Homes.

I can not say enough good things about this book. I wish that I had it before I started this journey, after I was matched withthe boys but before they moved in would of been perfect. I  would have learned a lot and been more prepared for what was to come. Everyone who works with kids should read this book. I would tell you more but I lent my copy to the school because they need to read it. When I get it back I will review it properly.

So leave a comment on this post and you will be entered to win. Leave a  comment and become a follower and you will get 2 entries. If you already are follower than you already have one extra entry just let me know in your comment.

I will draw a name on Monday so you have until mindnight on Sunday April 25th to enter. I will post the winner on Monday and they have till Friday to reply, then I will draw another name.

I also just realised as I typed this up that I was going to make buy a bunch of heartline bracelets based on comments a long time ago and then baby Lily died and life got busy and I FORGOT! So I will also buy 4 braclets from Corey and send those out as well. Although they are small they mean a lot.

So leave a comment and you can win the book or a bracelet. 1 book, 4 braclelets and all you need to do is leave a comment and follow me if you want 2 entries.

PS - no one is giving me anything for doing this... I just am because it is a great book and Heartline is a great charity and Corey rocks too.

I'll be the first! If I win, I'll read this book, then give it to a woman in our community who will be bringing 2 teenaged brothers from disruptions into her home in a couple of weeks. I know that family will need an immense amount of support, so that's what I would do! And yes- I'll agree that Corey does rock :-) Thanks for the giveaway!

You are sounding tired and a little burned out. So, besides leaving a comment to enter (Because I LOVE Jayne Schooler!!!) I want to tell you that I'm praying for you tonight.

Definitely sounds like something I need to read. Because at this point, the girls have made me a bit batty. :-)

Sounds like a great book. After 10 years I'm still learning everyday. I also follow on Google Reader.

I haven't read it. I'll confess that once our ds hit the ground running I stayed away from books - they all seemed so negative and tragic and made me feel overwhelmed. But now, now if I win I am ready to read it and I will then pass it on to others who really should read it.

Howdy! What fun! Here's my comment, and I am also following your blog. Hoping I win because that is a book that I have on my wishlist!

I haven't heard of this, but I was looking for something new to read so I hope I read. When I'm done I'll pass it - probably to the library of the Advocate for Children of Trauma. I love the bracelets too!

Hello
I'm a relatively new follower, my partner and I have adopted three girls from foster care, we have lots of friends who have done the same, one who was able to have the child diagnosed as having Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and is now able to get start getting some good therapy services--I've learned a lot through her.

Anyway :-) Love your blog, it's inspiring and I love winning new things.

I am excited to receive the book and the bracelets (of course momma guilt takes over and I feel bad for getting something for nothing!)
