I never thought

I never thought when I became a Mom I would be sitting at the computer waiting for my child to finish sitting on the toilet because he can not not be trusted to take himself but needs to be reminded to go and while I am waitng I am thinking about, the money he stole this morning, the freezie he bought with it, the stolen money he shared with his brother who spent it on popcorn, the staff members who assisted them today by thinking they just did not bring enough money to school and gave them stuff anyway, the secretary who thought it was so cute that Calvin had money from other countries, the crap they ate that they so did not need, the extra chores to pay back the money, the afternoon tantrums that may result from the chores, the behaviour that I may see for the next week because of the shame from getting busted and the cold (gluten free) beer that will be waiting for me in a couple hours when I can  pause in the behaviour modification program I call therapeutic parenting and take 5 minutes for me because after Calvins therapy today I need it but not as much as Lisa or Corey, I have sun and kid who is healing, slowly but surely, go give them some love if ya have a minute.

I totally get your day. And I wish I had a cold beer waiting for me - unfortunately I think it's going to have to be sugar free coolaid on the way out the door to the kids' therapy.

I feel completely blessed and sad to say to you that I fully understand everything you said. Except the beer... now vodka...

HA! I dunno girl.. I had gray skies and crappy weather.. but today (God is good!) my kid did not steal anything, followed her program, and I did not have to monitor her pooping! So it was almost heavenly! ;-)

AHHHH! I surely do know what it means to sit in the bathroom door with a computer on my lap :-) If that makes you feel any better ....

PTL! Buster Brown has figured out the pooping thing but we still have to tell him to go, and we still have to monitor it. I don't know if he'll ever quit peeing his pants. And would you believe it? I think he's doing fabulous!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.
Little MIssy only had three pairs of poopy pants today. Isn't that nice!

Amazing what we find joy in now days.

Great post. I am there with you in the stealing trenches these days...and the constant monitoring of the boy's every move. (Perhaps you got my thank you card? Thanks a million for the little parcel you sent me in the random draw!) This inability to trust my kid is not something I ever envisioned when I thought about parenthood.

I have been to Lisa's blog, but not to Corey's yet. Going there soon.

Hang in.
