For another mother

I had a post to publish this morning, one about hope and about where I am finding it at the moment as it still is in short supply some days. I am not going to post it though because at this moment there is someone else who needs some hope and I am hoping that you can share some of yours with her.

Lisa from Life in the Grateful House (who needs no introduction to most of my readers) is having a really hard time right now. Her blog is currently down so you can not go get an update and I am not at liberty to share what I know. To be honest the details are not important. What is important is that another mama is feeling pretty hopeless right now as she is faced with a situation that is completely beyond her control.

I can not even imagine for a moment what it feels like to be her but I know what it feels like to feel hopeless. I know that pit. I have had many a tea party there all by myself and each and every time I am down there others help me out, they reach out to me and offer me a hand or sometimes even a ladder.

What I am asking of you today is to give Lisa a hand or a ladder with your words. Share your favourite quote, thought, words of wisdom, in fact you can say whatever your heart desires but do leave a comment on this post for Lisa as she needs to know that she is not alone. I know that she reads my blog still even though she is not commenting and I will also send her an email and direct her this way.

Let me thank you now for her because I know that she will appreciate every word.

Lisa- Praying for you all. The insanity in the system sucks. You are not alone and my prayers will be with every minute of that matter.

I've been thinking of Lisa a lot lately. She's been such an inspiration to so many of us, me included. I want to see her validated and hear her voice back among us again. She's hugely missed.

(Thanks, J, for doing this.)

Lisa: So sorry that things have been so rough. It is not fair. I am thinking of you, K, and J. Please be sure to lean on us all as much as you need to, and also take really good care of yourself.

I think about you a lot still, even though I haven't been able to read. I pray for you and your daughters, and I'm sorry things stink so much right now.

Lisa, I have often thought of you and wondered how you were doing. I didn't think there could be no news ... I've been there and I haven't been anywhere near there and I can't imagine what you are going through but I've screamed into the abyss in utter despair and heartbreak for a child and been trapped by a heartless system. I want to show you the love and caring you have shown your own children.

For what it is worth, I am here for you.

I have missed you a lot, and think of you often. I have always been in awe of what you were able to do for your girls, and know you have done so much that many of us couldn't have begun to do. You have always been an encouragement to me. Hugs, and lots of prayers to you.

Lisa, yours is one of the blogs I really related to. I was sorry when I couldn't visit anymore and am so sorry for the troubles you're facing now. I pray you are surrounded by loving support.

I don't know why this quote resonated within me this past weekend, but maybe it was for you. When J asked for quotes it jumped into my head.

“Give sorrow words. The grief that does not speak whispers the o'er-fraught heart, and bids it break.” Shakespeare, Macbeth 4:3

You are the reason I started blogging. You have been an inspiration to so many people. I hope we can bring you some small comfort in return.

You are loved,

Mary in TX (*Squeak*)

Lisa, you know I've missed you and prayed for you, not even knowing what to pray, except for strength and wisdom for you. I know your heart has broken many times over, but there is always hope that tomorrow will be different. The only thing that changes may be you, but your strength will win out. This job is not for sissies and we both know you're not one of those. Stay strong and know you are loved.

Delurking just for you Lisa...hope very much for you that this ugly phase is in the past for you very soon and that you will be able to pick yourself up and shake yourself off. Know that there is One Who is Allseeing and Allknowing, and that He too was unfairly judged. One day you will be asked what you did for a lesser fortunate one and you will be able to share a whole laundry list of things....He will carry you at this time and always. Please pamper yourself just a little to get through this most difficult time in your life. Lord knows you need and deserve it!
In my thoughts...
Greetings all the way from Canada...Suzanne

Lisa I am sad to know that such a dedicated and loving Mama is down in the pit of hopelessness. You are a wonderful person and an amazing Mama. I can not even imagine what you are going through or what you have already been through. Stay confident in the fact that your girls are better off having you as their Mama and whatever you are dealing with from this broken system is not a reflection on that! You rock!!!

You rock too J! Thank you for providing us a place to encourage this Mama in need of it!
