Finally

Calvin, (the ham you see in the photo modelling with the bathing suit form that came with my new suit that I bought at costco because I am classy like that and I am going to ORLANDO in 40 days ) has an appointment in GI clinic at the local Children's Hospital today. I was working on moving heaven and earth to get him in the see the specialist sooner rather later and then there was a cancellation today and low and behold we have an appointment. We are leaving shortly.

We also signed our homestudy yesterday so now we wait, well we were already waiting but now we wait with all the documents completed. There are over 9000 children available for adoption in the province of Ontario but finding ones that will fit into our family now that we already have kids is little harder as we are not as flexible as we were the first time. Our closest big city, were our file currently sits (rather than the small county were we live which is a long story) has about 90 kids waiting at this very moment but sadly none of them fit and so we will wait for kids to become available locally. If we have heard nothing by the spring than we will start looking at going elsewhere in the province again. Ontario has a photolisting site and an Adoption Resource Exchange twice a year so we can look at getting kids from another part of the province if nothing happens locally but that is more complicated and locally would easier as far as transitions and extended family contact are concerned.

Gotta go finish getting dressed because jeans and a nightshirt is not really a fashion statement that I am willing to make anywhere but in my home.

So hoping that you get answers and solutions for Calvin today. Y'all have been waiting too long.

My bathing suit is like 6 years old. It might even have a hole in it. My options are- spend precious babysitter time trying to find a new one I like better, trying to take a 12 year old male RADling into the women's clothing section, or wearing the old one. I trust you all to understand why I am showing up with a shabby bathing suit.

Good luck today! And good luck with your search!

That picture is too funny!

Congrats on filing all your paperwork. Calvin and Fudge will keep you busy so maybe time will pass more quickly during this round of waiting?

Ya know - looking at the clear plastic model form I am thinking with a strap or two, it would make a great spit and pee guard for some of the more - how shall I say??? EXPRESSIVE children that have been in my home of late. We could maybe sell them at Orlando? We could start an International franchise (like Tim Hortons!). It could be a real money maker, J. Whatdayathink?????

Ok, but where is the suit? I think you should model it...

I have 2 suits, cuz I am ritzy like that. Both are over 5 years old and actually one just touched water last year for the first time. Catalogs, ladies. Online ordering. No nasty or embarassing dressing rooms. Off season prices.

So awesome C got an appointment!
